Havre De Grace . I think there is more to do in HDG than in Saint Michels. Bonus there is fresh water so no Jellys. There is a beautiful old Theater, Great Resturants and shops and Bomboys candy and ice cream. I like to stay at Tidewater marina.
Wortan Creek is like the perfect place to drop the hook. Its that easy over nighter. Anchor inside for great protection and outside for a little breeze in the heat of summer.
Fairlee Creek is another short sail. Good Resturant at Great Oaks landing. Party at Jelly Fish Joes. Weekends are crazy with power boats. Weekdays are much more peaceful. Good swimming on a hot day. The entrance is narrow and the current is hard flowing but well worth it once your inside.
Sassafras River is a great destination! Many creeks Loyds, Turner, Woodland. Some shallow and some deep. Georgetown is a great place to grab a Marina. I highly recommend the Fish Whistle resturant.
Bohemia River is on my bucket list to visit. I hear that Veazey cove is a great place to drop the hook. I hope to get there soon and explore it.
Chesapeake City is a great spot. I spent a few days there watching the ships on there way throught the C&D cannel. We took a slip at the Chesapeake Inn. Perfect spot to people watch those that are traveling through the area. Great Resturants and history.
Seneca Creek is a eash spot to drop the hook on a Friday night mid summer. The days are long and you have time to get there after work. Beautiful spot. Give it a chance.
Sue Creek is another easy place for a over night anchorage. Easy to get there on a Friday after work and a great spot to wake up to on a Saturday Morning. Excellent protection.
Tolchester Marina is a great spot with a pool and a resturant.
