Fort Delaware cruise,

I wanted to post a little about the Fort Delaware week cruise.   I had to change the beginning because the Fort is closed on Monday.  We have a two day window for the cruise leader to get there. (I am not retired yet).  So Friday we leave and go to the Bohemia river Vezy cove 5.5 miles to the mouth of the C&D canal  to anchor out then Saturday we hopefully will catch the incoming tide at 12:35 pm and get through the C&D canal and get into Delaware City early evening.   We have a plan B and that is to go Friday and anchor in Turner creek at the Sassafras  17 miles to the entrance to C&D canal but again we don’t have to arrive till 12: 35 pm.   We can decide at the last minute once we know the weather a few days before.

The other bit of information, is that we have many on the wait list for Sailing Associates and that is because they are waiting to see how many slips the will have vacant for the week of 4th of July.  They really are trying to get all of us in their marina but they are not sure they can fit all 12 of us and if they can not we will put some boats right across at the George town yacht haven marine .   Sailing associates said they should have a good idea by May 19th so just be a little Patient and hopefully we will get everyone in the marina or a mooring ball.

We will still all get to hang out together at Sailing associates but we may have to dingy from George two SA but that remains to be determined.

Thanks for joining us on this cruise I am trying my best to handle all the details and get our bases covered.    Bryant
