DESCRIPTION:We will have a cookout supplied by the club followed by an auction at Maryland Marina. Similar to last year\, bring your unwanted boat treasures to donate and auction off to the highest bidder. All proceeds will go to the club. Don’t forget the poker run! After the auction\, we’ll play a hand of 5 Card Stud. Awards will be given out after this. SUMMARY:3rd of July Race\, Potluck and Fireworks
DESCRIPTION:Cruise to celebrate the birth of our Nation! \nSaturday July 3rd 10 AM: Meet at Maryland Marina Pavilion for a pre-race meeting and crew pick. \nWe will take a few boats out for a race around the island.  We’re not sure which island until we see what the wind is doing. The winning boat will get a prize but better yet will have a year of bragging rights.  The winner will be the first boat returning to Middle River.   The course will be given out the morning under the pavilion. \nThis is also the beginning of our treasure hunt/poker run.   There are 5 containers hidden around Frog Mortar creek and each container has an envelope in it.  Find all 5 containers and remove one envelope from each container and keep it.   Each envelope contains a card.  When everyone has collected their 5 envelopes\, we will open them and play a hand of 5 card stud poker.  The winning hand gets a fantastic prize.  This will be going on both Saturday and Sunday.  You will need a dingy to find the containers. \nSaturday evening 5 PM: We will have a social gathering at Maryland Marina. This will be a pot luck dinner.  Bring something to share & BYOB. SUMMARY:Sock Burning
DESCRIPTION:In the spirit of groundhog day\, or in this case groundhog year\, we are going to forego the in person sock burning event and once again hold a “Virtual Sock Burning.” How does it work? Between now and next Saturday March 20th\, grab the lighter fluid and stoke up the fireplace\, the firepit\, the chimenea or a metal trashcan lid with few sticks in it\, shed your socks and cast them into the flame. Just make sure you film it so that you can share it with the fleet! On March 20th\, upload your video to the NC3 Facebook group page for the rest of the fleet to enjoy. Or\, if you’re using the Facebook mobile app\, wait until Saturday and broadcast your sock burning live using your mobile device! \nTo share a video to the Group using your PC or laptop\, open the Group page and click the “Photo/Video” button to the right of “Write Post.” On the next screen\, click “Upload Photos/Videos” and browse for your video file and select it. Once the video uploads\, you can write a comment\, then click “Post” to share it with the fleet. \nIf you’re not already a member of our Facebook Group you can request to join here.
