SUMMARY:Baltimore Sail 250 Tall Ship Visit / Blue Angel Flyover - June 26-28
DESCRIPTION:Join other NC3 Boats and enjoy the Tall Ships. the Blue Angel Flyover\, and all the festivities that will be part of America’s 250th celebration.  Many boats have already reserved slips as the crowds should be quite large.  This will not be a cruise\, per se\, but whenever NC3 Members get together for any event fun follows!  Bruce and Norma Stumpp have offered to act as a point of contact and information.  All of the NC3 boats that have reserved slips so far are staying at Lighthouse Point Marina. \n\nRegistrations are closed for this event \n \nNot yet a member? DESCRIPTION:Join Allan and Joey Vanderheyden for a great weekend of fun on the Bay. \nSATURDAY \nTake a leisurely cruise to Worton Creek/Swan Creek or the Magothy. dependent on the wind.  Weather permitting\, we will raft up for an international experience.  Raise the flag of your country and serve a dish from there – we will go boat to boat trying the delicacies.  Prizes will be given out\, so stay tuned. \nSUNDAY  \nWe will head home at an agreed upon time.  For those wanting to feel the rush of the early season wind\, you can be part of the very low key race back to the Middle River.  If the wind looks better Saturday\, the race may be on route to our destination!  Instructions to follow. \nWe look forward to starting off the season with friendship and sailing.  Please feel free to contact me for any information and we will see you on channel 78!! \n\nRegistrations are closed for this event \n \nNot yet a member? SUMMARY:Worton Cruise & Lands Point Winery - July 12- July 13
DESCRIPTION:Saturday- The cruise will start with a sail to Worton Creek on Saturday\, July 12th.  Members can either stay at Worton Marina or anchor inside the creek or outside (for cooler breeze). Those at anchor could dingy in\, or Optimystic would act as a water taxis (both ways of course 😎). In July 2024\, the marina owner John told me that he had a chef lined up to reopen the restaurant there for the 2025 season. Depending on the decision of the cruisers\, we could either have Saturday dinner there\, or BYOF and BYOB in the picnic grove. \nSunday- at Lands Point winery. Time TBD. 12 noon?  Optimystic has had many enjoyable trips here taking our friends and family who thoroughly enjoy the experience. You are welcome to dingy/kayak in as they have only one slip. Again Optimystic can be the water taxi.    Saturday tastings are public (and limited to groups of 8) but if preferred\, the group could request a private tasting on Sunday (need a minimum of 15) This will still allow time to sail home Sunday afternoon or members can stay an additional night for a Monday sail. \n\nAPRIL UPDATE:  The private booking on Sunday does have a fee of $25.00 per person which includes a Flight of Wine (normally $12.00 on public days). Eileen and Dave are not typical winery persons. They will give a 3-5 minute presentation of their wines and let you choose what you would like. I usually start out with a flight of 4 wines\, then have another glass of my preferred. Of course\, they would hope you take a bottle or two. But the setting is conducive to enjoying the scenery while sipping wine. They also have snacks. Mindful that this is a husband-and-wife team\, they want to ensure everyone has a great experience. They do not give you a hard sell. In the event of inclement weather\, there is indoor seating with a great screened in porch. \n \n\n\n\nRegistrations are closed for this event \n \nNot yet a member? SUMMARY:SUMMER SOLSTICE - June 21- June 29
