SUMMARY:Memorial Day Cruise
DESCRIPTION:Memorial Day – (Dingy cruise) Fairlee Creek \nMay 25th we will throw lines and head across the bay to Fairlee Creek just 10.5 miles across the bay. Once we arrive at Fairlee we can grab a slip at Great Oaks Landing or drop your hook in the protected waters of Fairlee creek. Great Oaks landing is a beautiful Marina that has a sandy beach and fire rings. Saturday we will enjoy the marina\, have lunch\, maybe a swim in the pool. Dinner is on your own\, you can have dinner in the restaurant or on your boat. I hope we can have Happy hour on the beach down from Jellyfish Joels and watch a beautiful sunset. \nSunday get your dingy read as we will head east to explore the back of Fairlee creek. Many of us have not been very far past the entrance to Great Oaks landing Marina. Did you know the creek goes back another 2.5 miles? We can lash up the dinghies and head out to see the great unknown. Bring hats and sunscreen as we are roughing it with as we head back to the back of the creek. I am sure it will be beautiful. Once we return we can have lunch and take naps. Sunday evening we will head over to our favorite place Worton creek only 4.5 miles away. \nAt Worton you can take a slip or drop the hook. The idea is to sail in at Sunset. Dinner is on your own again. After dark\, find a friend and enjoy a night cap before heading in for a good night’s sleep. Monday there is always the early birds that want to get home. Those that want to stay a little longer after breakfast since we have the dinghy ready we can go for a dingy tour of Wortons back creeks. The last time I saw lots of beavers swimming in the creek and a ton of bald eagles. We will return in time for a bite of brunch and head back across the bay to our home slips.
