Below is proposed schedule. \nWe are tentatively planning on departing early the week of May 13. Actual day is still not final but thinking Tuesday. We have no firm date on Saranac availability. This will be a WTWB cruise. \nArrive no later than Sunday 5/12 to allow 2 nights in Solomons (Zanheisers or marina of choice and meet up for gatherings). There are many activities in Solomons to fill the day and will allow one day of rest before heading back up the Bay. \n5/14 Tuesday – cross the bay. depart for Hudson Creek on the Little Choptank. 29 miles. Anchor.\n5/15 Wednesday – leave Hudson Creek for the West River (possibly Chesapeake Yacht club south of Annapolis in Shady Side). 35 miles. Cross the bay.\n5/16 Thursday – leave West River for Rock Hall 28 miles or Tolchester marina/beach 33 miles. Cross the Bay.\n5/17 Friday – leave either Rock Hall (19 miles) or Tolchester for Middle River (10 miles). Cross the Bay. \nHoping by crossing the bay so much it may help w catching the southerly winds. Once we arrive at Fairlee we can grab a slip at Great Oaks Landing or drop your hook in the protected waters of Fairlee creek. Great Oaks landing is a beautiful Marina that has a sandy beach and fire rings. Saturday we will enjoy the marina\, have lunch\, maybe a swim in the pool. Dinner is on your own\, you can have dinner in the restaurant or on your boat. I hope we can have Happy hour on the beach down from Jellyfish Joels and watch a beautiful sunset. \nSunday get your dingy read as we will head east to explore the back of Fairlee creek. Many of us have not been very far past the entrance to Great Oaks landing Marina. Did you know the creek goes back another 2.5 miles? We can lash up the dinghies and head out to see the great unknown. Bring hats and sunscreen as we are roughing it with as we head back to the back of the creek. I am sure it will be beautiful. Once we return we can have lunch and take naps. Sunday evening we will head over to our favorite place Worton creek only 4.5 miles away. \nAt Worton you can take a slip or drop the hook. The idea is to sail in at Sunset. Dinner is on your own again. After dark\, find a friend and enjoy a night cap before heading in for a good night’s sleep. Monday there is always the early birds that want to get home. Those that want to stay a little longer after breakfast since we have the dinghy ready we can go for a dingy tour of Wortons back creeks. The last time I saw lots of beavers swimming in the creek and a ton of bald eagles. We will return in time for a bite of brunch and head back across the bay to our home slips.
